This area to the west of Celestium is bounded by the Gothic Wall. Here there are stands of rhododendrons and open lawns. On the southern side of this area are a number of basalt pathways – the Basalt Paths, with the Laburnum Steps and several other sets of stone steps providing access to Charlotte’s Pass below.
